More than 200 entries were received from primary, secondary, P-12 and special schools. The judging panel was very impressed by the authentic student voice overwhelmingly present in the vast majority of films. A common theme was that a great teacher was one who helped students and truly cared about them.
All schools who entered the competition will be soon be receiving an official certificate signed by Institute Chairperson Susan Halliday.
The UNESCO-declared World Teachers' Day is now in its 15th year and provides an important opportunity to recognise the vital role teachers play in shaping the next generation.
