Support to become a fully registered teacher

Teachers who wish to practice in Victorians schools are required to be registered with the Victorian Institute of Teaching. All teachers who have not previously practiced as a qualified teacher are granted provisional registration (inexperienced). To become fully registered, provisionally registered teachers are required to demonstrate to the Institute that they meet standards of professional practice.

A Guide to Provisional Registration (PDF - 82 KB) provides general information.
