New system on track for annual registration

The new teacher registration system will be online from 27 July 2020 ready for the annual registration process to commence.MyVIT accounts will temporarily shut down while we migrate data to the new system.

Transition to new system and annual registration

As you are aware, VIT is moving to one registration platform for all teachers, early childhood teachers and their employers to manage their registration requirements.

We are pleased to announce that the new system is scheduled to be completed on time and to budget – ready for the annual registration process.

The new system will improve the way VIT interacts with teachers and their employers and provide a better user experience through self-service registration activities and paperless applications.

Teachers will be moved into the new system from 5pm Friday 17 July 2020 until 10am Monday 27 July 2020.

During this time, MyVIT teacher accounts and school / early childhood / employer portals will not be accessible while teacher registration data is being migrated into the new system. This may also impact on VIT's ability to respond to complex registration matters.

Please note that the public register of teachers will be available so that you can confirm registration status.

We encourage you to make contact with VIT as soon as possible if you have outstanding teacher registration matters.

The VIT is aware that a small number of provisionally registered teachers and holders of permission to teach may have a registration that is due to expire during or immediately after the shutdown period (17-27 July 2020). We will be communicating directly with these teachers to ensure their registration requirements are met.

Annual registration period will commence 27 July

Teachers and early childhood teachers will start to receive invoices (via post and email) from 27 July 2020, staggered over three weeks. The invoice will contain instructions on how to access the new system and a guide on how to complete the annual registration process.

To ensure you receive your invoice, update your contact details through your MyVIT account before it closes on Friday 17 July 2020.
