13 MAY 2019
The Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) is set to strengthen its community and stakeholder engagement by attending some of Victoria's leading education and teacher conferences in 2019.
This month, VIT will be exhibiting at the 2019 Early Childhood Education Conference to actively engage with and learn from Victoria's early childhood teachers, educators, service managers / directors, allied professionals, policy makers, researchers and parents.
The conference theme ‘Together we grow’ poses some fundamental questions such as ‘how do we grow the educators to deliver the best learning programs?’ and ‘how do we grow the leaders to inspire and support them?’
In early June, VIT will be present at the 2019 Education State School Leadership Conference which will bring together principals and educational leaders from Government primary and secondary schools from across Victoria.
The conference aims to provide learning and engagement in the context of ‘leading learning for excellence’, with VIT being an active part of the Learning Marketplace.
VIT staff members will be on hand at both conferences to address queries relating to teacher registration including
- registration applications;
- registration categories;
- the provisional to (full) registration process;
- the renewal process;
- professional learning and the Australian Professional Standard for Teachers (APST);
- the Code of Conduct; and
- what VIT means to teachers, principals and the wider school community.
If you are a teacher, early childhood teacher, principal or school leader attending either conference, we hope to see you there.
VIT looks forward to attending conferences and events across all education sectors in Victoria. If you have an idea on how VIT can engage with your teaching community please contact email@example.com.
