What is Education Week?
Education Week positively profiles the strengths and achievements of Victoria’s government education sector. This year’s theme Healthy Mind, Healthy Body is an opportunity for all Victorian primary and secondary schools and early childhood services to showcase the work they are doing with students to help ensure healthy minds and bodies.
The week-long Victorian government initiative celebrates sport, dance, mentoring, yoga, meditation, reading, art, camps, excursions, breakfast clubs, healthy canteen menus, stress management, resilience and more.
How can schools get involved?
During Education Week (21 to 27 May), we encourage schools to get involved and hold activities and events that relate to the Healthy Mind, Healthy Body theme.
- download the Ideas for schools resource to find out how you can get involved
- view the full program of free public activities for school students
The Healthy Mind, Healthy Body theme aligns to the Education State target of Happy, Healthy and Resilient Kids, which recognises that the healthy development of our students helps to drive the future prosperity of Victoria.
