From 1 January 2011 all teachers granted full registration will be required to renew their registration annually. The due date for renewal of registration will be 30 September of every year. Prior to this date you will be issued with a renewal of registration form where you will be asked to make declarations related to your continued suitability to be a teacher and maintenance of professional practice. To maintain professional practice you will need to undertake a period of 10 days teaching, equivalent practice or educational leadership and engage in 20 hours of standards-referenced professional development activities during each twelve month period of registration.
