About our professional standards
Professional standards lie at the heart of the Institute’s work and provide a framework for our regulatory functions. Standards have been developed to support a teacher’s pre-service education, their induction to the profession and their ongoing learning as experienced teachers. The Institute has also developed with teachers a Code of Conduct.
