Nominations now open for Early STEM Education Awards 2026
Do you know a teacher, educator or early learning service helping children build confidence in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM)? Someone actively challenging gender bias and creating inclusive learning opportunities?
The Little Scientists Early STEM Education Awards are back in 2026, celebrating the many ways educators support children’s curiosity, problem‑solving and teamwork through STEM. These awards are the only national recognition program dedicated to early childhood STEM education for children aged 0–8.
Nominations are open Sunday 1 March 2026.
Why these awards matter
Great STEM experiences in the early years can shape a child’s confidence and sense of belonging. The awards highlight the educators and teachers who create these moments every day—often quietly, creatively, and with deep care for children’s learning.
We know educators work in diverse settings with different resources, pressures and community needs. These awards aim to recognise that effort fairly and respectfully, making space for a broad range of approaches and experiences.
