Permission to teach (PTT) applicants who have completed experience or qualifications outside of Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Canada or the Republic of Ireland, are also required to complete an English language competency test

Applicants who are required to undertake English language competency testing will need to provide VIT with evidence of successful completion of one of the following by providing a certificate from an accredited testing centre.

The VIT recommends booking the English language competency test well in advance, as wait times can be lengthy. Test results are valid for two (2) years from the date listed on the certificate.

The following tests are accepted by VIT.
