Join VIT at the inaugural Welcome to the Profession Conference

Each year, the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) delivers seminars and events designed to provide information on the requirements teachers must meet to comply with their regulatory obligations.

The VIT Professional Practice team also works with initial teacher education (ITE) providers to ensure readiness for beginning teachers embarking on their teaching career.

An induction for beginning teachers in Victoria

Understanding teacher registration requirements and why teacher registration is important is essential for a beginning teacher in their early career. A thorough induction into the profession is also critical to gain the skills and confidence necessary to deliver quality teaching.

To support the induction process, VIT is delivering a free one-day conference for beginning teachers looking to teach in Victoria.

The inaugural Welcome to the Profession Conference seeks to support beginning teachers to understand the requirements for teacher registration and VIT's role as a regulator and develop their teaching practice using effective classroom management strategies.
