Child safety and new Child Safe Standards

The VIT carefully considers the safety and wellbeing of children when undertaking any of its regulatory functions.

Victoria’s Child Safe Standards are a set of mandatory requirements to protect children and young people from harm and abuse. Since they were first introduced in 2016, we have witnessed how the standards have improved safety for children and young people.
