2024 Teacher Award winners announced
Now in its second year, the Teacher Awards recognise outstanding approaches to teaching and school leadership.
Hosted by Teacher Magazine, the awards saw teachers across the country from K-12 nominated across 8 categories
- Leadership Award for Driving School Improvement
- Improving Student Learning and Progress
- Cultivating an Inclusive and Positive Culture
- Excellence in Staff Collaboration
- Excellence in Curriculum Design and Implementation
- Fostering Strong School-Community Partnerships
- Improving Health and Wellbeing
- Special Contribution Award.
The VIT congratulates registered Victorian teacher Georgia Bate for being recognised among the winners for improving student learning and progress.

The judging panel included ten education experts; Professor Geoff Masters, Professor Lyn Sharratt, Professor Pasi Sahlberg, Professor Pauline Taylor-Guy, Professor Amy Cutter-Mackenzie-Knowles, Dr Kat Ross, Dr Troy Meston, Ben Sacco, Alex Wharton and Mali Jorm.
8 teams and individuals were recognised across 5 states, including all school sectors.
