National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence
Lead by Bullying. No Way! , the National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence focuses on bullying prevention initiatives in schools that encourage communities to work together to implement evidence-informed, positive and proactive solutions.
The National Day of Action (NDA) was established in 2022, after 68% of Australian schools pledged to create a shared understanding of what bullying is, and outline their bullying prevention policies and support for students who may experience bullying.
The 2023 theme 'growing connections' emphasises the importance of the following in preventing bullying and violence
- strong school community connections
- social skills
- enabling positive, help-seeking behaviour.
The NDA is supported by BeYou / Beyond Blue, the Australian eSafety Commissioner, headspace and Kids Helpline,
