Professional learning to support teachers implementing F-10 Languages curriculum

Professional learning: VCAA Language Assessments

To support teachers implementing the Victorian F–10 Languages curriculum, VCAA is offering three short online professional learning sessions on how to use the VCAA's suite of free online language assessments.

Developed with and hosted by the Australian Council for Education Research (ACER), the online VCAA Language Assessments consist of a series of multiple choice listening and reading tests in Chinese, French, German, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Modern Greek and Spanish.

The assessments provide a snapshot of each individual student's receptive reading and listening skills, which can then be used to better target the student's learning needs.

The professional learning sessions will provide teachers with an understanding of the online language assessments and how they can be used to better target individual students' learning needs.
