Permission to teach is a two-step process where the school submits a request for PTT, followed by an application from the individual.

The school initiates the application through the Employer portal, and once submitted VIT assesses the application to ensure it meets the requirements under the Permission to Teach Policy.

Once VIT has approved the teaching position application, the preferred candidate will be advised via email that they can commence an application for PTT (VET) through their MyVIT account. Once submitted VIT assesses the full application to ensure it meets the requirements under the Permission to Teach Policy.

The school can view the progress of a PTT application through the Employer portal.
