There is a common misunderstanding among employers and teachers that registration cards are required to verify teacher registration. And it’s ok if you don’t choose to access your new digital VIT registration card either.
Registered teachers don't need a physical or digital card to prove their registration. Employers are regularly reminded that if a teacher’s name appears on the register of teachers and can be searched for in the Employer portal, then the teacher holds valid VIT registration.
The register of teachers, Employer portal and digital registration cards are all linked to VIT’s teacher registration system and updated immediately upon a change in registration and are therefore the only safe and accurate methods to prove a teacher's registration status.
Please be assured that VIT does not wish to force any teachers to use a digital registration card. Those who choose not to access their digital card will be able to rely on the register of teachers or Employer portal for proof of registration.
