In line with the Victorian Treasurer’s announcement in April 2020 where he set the annual index rate at 0.0 per cent, this year's (2020-21) registration fees will remain at 2019-20 levels. The VIT’s registration fees continue to be tax deductible and the lowest across Australia.
The new teacher registration system will be online from 27 July 2020 ready for the annual registration process to commence.
MyVIT accounts will temporarily shut down while we migrate data to the new system.
Last December, we told you about the development of our new teacher registration system. It is now up and running, and all teachers registering with VIT for the first time are using the system.

VIT has been able to maintain delivery of its regulatory functions and keep phone lines open – albeit with some changes to our telephone numbers (as we are working away from the office).
If you’re thinking about taking a leave of absence from teaching or you don’t feel you’ll be able to meet the requirements when you renew your registration, non-practising registration is a convenient option that will allow you to transition back into (full) registration with minimal fuss.
