Celebrating excellence: Catholic teachers and students honoured during Catholic Education Week
Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Sale celebrated Catholic Education Week from Friday 16 May – Friday 23 May 2025.
This week is an annual highlight for the Diocese of Sale as schools and parish communities come together to celebrate and reflect on the values, community spirit, and commitment to quality education, while inspiring hope and a bright future for students and educators alike.
The 2025 theme, Pilgrims of Hope, was aligned with this year’s Jubilee Year in the Catholic Church to highlight the importance of hope as a guiding virtue.
The Diocese of Sale covers 38 Catholic primary schools and seven Catholic secondary schools spanning a geographic area from Melbourne’s outer south-east suburbs from Narre Warren and Cranbourne to Phillip Island in the south, and right throughout Gippsland to Orbost in the east.
Service Awards were presented to staff members who had provided 25 years or more of service to Catholic Education in Australia. The VIT would like to congratulate the following award winners.

In recognition of their service to Australian Catholic education, 36 staff members from Catholic primary and secondary schools across the Diocese of Sale received a Service Award from their respective school communities.
