We remain focused on assisting Victorian teachers, early childhood teachers and their employers as we move through the challenging months ahead. As such, we are endeavouring to minimise the impacts of COVID-19 on teachers' registration requirements where possible.
As part of the Victorian government’s special needs plan, registered teachers are now required to undertake professional development (PD) activities to develop their capability to teacher learners with disability (special needs).
We look forward to having all graduate teachers registered for the start of the school year. We are currently processing all the information supplied by education providers including the new Literacy and Numeracy Test results.
The Victorian Institute of Teaching is committed to improving the registration process for both principals and teachers. Consequently, we are developing a new teacher registration system, named Nexus.
