The Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Strategic Plan 2024-2027 sets out our priorities and direction as the regulator of the teaching profession in Victoria.
Our strategy focuses on regulating a qualified, safe and reputable teaching profession, with a strong emphasis on child safety, quality teaching and public confidence. It guides how we allocate our resources, respond to risks, and deliver our regulatory functions over a three-year period.
The Plan translates our vision into clear objectives, areas of focus and measures of success, aligned with the Minister for Education’s statement of expectations.
Our strategic objectives
Over 2024-2027, we’re working to
- provide for the safety and wellbeing of children and young people
- set and uphold the standards to enable quality teaching
- collaborate effectively with stakeholders
- provide an efficient and effective teacher registration process
- be a high-performing regulator.
