2023 Government Schools Principals Conference

Join principals around the state at the Government School Principals Conference in Melbourne.

Run by the Victorian Academy of Teaching and Leadership, the 2023 Government Schools Principals Conference is being held on Monday 5 June at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre.

Victorian government school principals, including acting principals and campus principals, are invited to attend a full day of inspiring presentations, stimulating workshops, networking opportunities, and a special conference dinner.

The agenda will focus on discovering new ways of thinking about leadership excellence, with the conference theme 'leading people' exploring key ideas around

Attendance is FREE! Principals attending in-person can attend both the conference and conference dinner free of charge. Virtual conference guests can view a livestream of the plenary events free of charge. Further financial support will also be available for small schools (fewer than 100 students) and regional/rural schools (located 100km or more from Melbourne). See the conference FAQs for more information. 

VIT at the Networking Space

The Networking Space will provide an opportunity for attendees to learn more about the supports, initiatives, resources and contacts for priority improvement areas in your school.

A/Professional Practice Manager, Lucy Buncle, will be manning a VIT stall in the Networking Space. Visit Lucy to find out how to support your teachers to comply with their regulatory requirements, as well as understand your obligations and requirements relating to permission to teach (PTT) and the Code of Conduct.
