2026-27 Early Childhood Provisionally Registered Teacher Grants Program
Applications for Round 1 of the 2026-27 Early Childhood Provisionally Registered Teacher (PRT) Grants Program are now open.
The grants program helps approved providers support provisionally registered teachers (PRTs) to move to full registration with PRTs as they work towards full registration and continue to build their professional practice.
Eligible providers can apply for grants of up to $3,370.40 (excluding GST) per PRT employed at a state-funded early childhood service. These grants are intended to support PRTs in obtaining full VIT registration within the next 12 months.
Applications close: Friday 4 September 2026 at 5pm
How to apply
Applications are submitted through the PRT Grants Program Portal by an authorised representative of an approved provider of an early childhood service with a funded kindergarten program.
Authorised representatives must discuss the application with the PRT for whom they are applying for and must provide the PRT with the privacy statement. This is available within the application portal.
