Children’s Week is being celebrated throughout Australia from Saturday 19 - Sunday 27 October 2024. 

The Children’s Week Council of Australia strongly advocates for and promotes the United Nations Convention on the Rights of a Child. 

This year’s theme “Children have the right to a clean and safe environment" recognises children's right to good quality health care, clean water, nutritious food and a clean environment.

Children’s Week celebrates the right of children to enjoy childhood. It is also a time for children to demonstrate their talents, skills and abilities.

Thousands of children and their families around the country are involved in activities and events through the participation of schools, playgroups, early childhood education, kindergartens, cultural groups, libraries, departments and community groups.
