Registered teachers honoured in 2026 King’s Birthday awards
Registered teachers across Australia have been recognised in the 2026 King’s Birthday Honours List—one of the nation’s highest honours.
This year, 703 people received awards in the General Division of the Order of Australia, including teachers who have made outstanding contributions to education. Their work reflects years of dedication to student learning, wellbeing and innovation.
The honours recognise teachers from across the country—working in metropolitan, regional and remote communities—who have led change, supported colleagues and built strong school communities.
Congratulations to all teachers recognised, including the three registered Victorian teachers honoured this year. Your work continues to inspire students and communities across Australia.
